The
Ensemble dedicates the vast majority of their performances
to extended care, senior care, disabled and handicapped care facilities
and organizations throughout the Bay Area. It is a special opportunity
to share live music (without compensation) to audiences who lack
transportation and perhaps, more critically, are non-ambulatory.

Current President of PGN Youth Ensemble is Isadora Gao. The Founders of the Ensemble are David
Hwang first violin, Jason
Hwang second violin, Janice
Yu viola, and Jason
Yu
cello. The current president is The Ensemble’s repertoire
features classical works of duets, trios, and quartets. Guest
artists include flautists, vocalists and pianists. The Ensemble’s
Artistic Director is Jason Yu.
The Ensemble is an outgrowth
of Peninsula Grace Notes (PGN), a non-profit classical music series
originating in 1994. A unique series dedicated to sharing a woman’s
composition in each concert, PGN has presented numerous artists
and ensembles of the highest caliber, including the legendary Moscow
Chamber Orchestra twice in three years, Slovak Sinfonietta, the
State Chamber Orchestra of Kazakhstan, and the Grammy Award-nominated
St. Petersburg String Quartet.
